The CorkSport Short Ram Intake system for the 2009-up Mazda 6 provides power gains combined with a stylish part.
The CorkSport Short Ram Air Intake is an under hood system, which
follows the same path as the stock intake system. That is about as far
as the similarities between the stock intake and the Short Ram go.
Installation of the CorkSport Short Ram Intake includes replacing the
factory resonators, air box, drop in filter, and replacing it with an
open Dry Flow filter element. These key differences allow the vehicle
to bring in more air into the intake chamber and create more horsepower
and torque. Since a vehicle is constantly moving heat soak from your
Short Ram air intake will be of little issue since your Mazda will
constantly be bringing in fresh air.
The intake features a billet precision machined MAF (Mass Air Flow)
housing which is anodized black with optional colors of red, blue, and
gold. The MAF housing is completed with T304
screw fittings to ensure a solid sensor attachment. The silicone
connector is a multi-layer nylon braid reinforced featuring a smooth
inside for optimum flow. CorkSport uses a synthetic Dry Flow media
filter for long life and easy cleaning. CorkSport Short Ram Intakes
also include stainless steel t-bolt clamps.
Thorough testing by CorkSport ensures the proper MAF diameter for the
2.5 model engine used in the 2009-up Mazda 6.
